Set Subject: Forced Perspective
Images Due: Monday 10 July
Competition Night: Monday 24 July
Forced perspective is an optical illusion created by placing objects far from each other to make one appear larger or smaller than it really is. For example one person (in the distance) appears to be standing on another person’s outstretched hand (in the foreground). Another illusion is to turn the image on its side or upside down to make it appear the subject is defying gravity. The image is created by taking a photo of carefully positioned subjects, not by altering the position of subjects in post processing.
