Focus May - Margaret Hamwood
Before moving to Brisbane just over 12 months ago, Margaret Hamwood lived in Mackay where she was an active member of the Mackay Camera Club and President for quite a few years. Now in Brisbane and a member of Aspley Camera Club, Margaret’s photographic interests cover a wide range. However, landscape photography is what she gravitates to the most with a love and passion for trees, which makes infrared photography all the more pleasing for her.
Margaret’s presentation on infrared photography will touch on a small portion of the technical side to grasp exactly what infrared light is and the options available to make it all possible along with issues that photographers may face at times when taking IR photos. A good portion of the presentation will be about processing images and a demonstration on producing a false colour image. The presentation will finish with a slide show of images Margaret has taken, along with their infrared details and camera settings.
